World Science Festival

OK, obviously playing catch-up here (again), but here are some pictures of our outing to Family Day at the World Science Festival. It was a lot of fun, and really neat to see "the public" getting so into geeky science stuff. (Speaking of geeky, Thadeous won a microbe for me--isn't that sweet?)

Here is Sorin with his face painted. It's a dinosaur--you could choose a "field" (i.e. biology, chemistry, astronomy) and the artist then painted something appropriate. A little girl ahead of Sorin had her face painted in gold with the letters "Au" on her forehead (the chemical symbol for gold). Sorin was actually holding a little stegosaurus, which I guess provided inspiration.
