A trip, a Birthday, and vistors galore (oh my)

It's been a busy few weeks for Sorin and Rian! It started with Nonna's arrival in preparation for Mama's departure to a conference in Wood's Hole, MA. She did a superb job helping Dada hold down the fort.


Mama returned on Rian's first Birthday! Can you believe it's been a year since this happy little guy joined our family? Umm, and when I say little, it's relatively speaking! At Rian's one-year well visit, he was a whopping 23 lbs 4 oz and 30 inches. At this age, Sorin was 3 lbs lighter and half an inch taller (not that we're comparing or anything:). He definitely loves to eat, and so far is not at all picky (unlike his brother).



Nonno joined us the next day, and we started Sorin's Birthday celebrations a bit early.



The next day we were treated to a visit from Andy and Maryann. They hadn't met Rian yet, and hadn't seen Sorin since we were all in Mohonk for Grandpa Efer's Birthday almost three years ago!



Wait, there's more! Grandpa Efer and Aunt Carol arrived Thursday too, and Oma and Opi drove down from Toronto on Friday (I told you there were a lot of visitors!).


To celebrate both boys' Birthdays, we had Oma, Opi, Grandpa Efer, Aunt Carol, Auntie Nicole, Uncle Aaron, and Aunt Susi over for a Birthday brunch. Don't the grown-ups look cute in their Birthday hats?


I should add that it is also Aunt Nicole's and Aunt Susi's Birthdays this month, so they helped the boys blow out their candles.

It's a good thing Oma brought some Noddy books to wind down with at the end of the day (as an aside, these are truly classics)!
